Electric multiple units belonging to the Acatus Plus family of low-floor vehicles are the answer to the needs of domestic carriers. The Acatus Plus family of electric multiple units was created based on the experience gained in relation to the currently designed and delivered vehicles.

As a result, drafts optimised in terms of maintenance costs and travel comfort were created. The Acatus Plus family vehicles are designed for servicing of regional and agglomeration traffic and their configuration can include 2 to 6 units. The functional layout of the interior allows comfortable travelling in air-conditioned rooms with a modern design. The vehicles include a series of conveniences for people with reduced mobility, i.e. entry platforms or lift – facilitating boarding, and a spacious toilet cabin fulfilling the highest standards, i.e. the TSI PRM.

PESA, focusing on safety, has designed and built the Acatus Plus in accordance with four collision scenarios fulfilling the newest European requirements regarding the crashworthiness and the strength of railway vehicles – TSI LOC&PAS. The safety of travellers is furthermore ensured by a monitoring system and intercom.

During the travel, the passengers are able to use wireless Internet access thanks to the WiFi network installed in the vehicles. The modern passenger information system allows on-going dynamic transmission of information on the next stops and possible connections as well as the broadcast of notifications and advertisements.
