PESA LINK for DB officially presented in Frankfurt. From February 2nd, they are carrying passengers in the Dreieich area!

Pesa LINKs were officially presented by DB Regio at the Main Train Station in Frankfurt am Main. From February 2nd, 2019, new vehicles are being gradually implemented to the Frankfurt (Main)-Neulsenburg-Dreieich-Buchschlag-Rödermark-Ober Roden-Dieburg line.

During the official presentation of vehicles, Frank Klingenhöfer, the President of the Management Board of DB Regio in Frankfurt said among other things: “LINKs are primarily a greater comfort for the passenger, but also a faster, peaceful journey thanks to the dynamic engine and better conditions for trains driving. Our drivers who have already completed training on LINKs are very happy with them”.

LINKs delivered to Frankfurt are vehicles ordered under a framework contract concluded between PESA and Deutsche Bahn. In total, ten diesel vehicles will be sent to the Dreieich area – 7 three-unit and 3 two-unit vehicles. The schedule assumes deliveries completion in August 2019, and subsequent LINKs will be successively implemented into circulation replacing older BR 642 series vehicles.
